Encounter Bay Celebrations Sunday 8th April

           Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor

We have been invited once again to help celebrate the Meeting between England’s Capt Matthew Flinders and France’s Capt Nicolas Baudin  in April 1802.

Calling all French Cars to assemble at the Victor Harbor Information Bay, Adelaide Road by 9.45am on Sunday 8th April

where we will be met by one of the organizing committee members to depart at 10am in convoy to Warland Reserve to join the Historic Motor Vehicle Clubs British cars for the festivities.
We are encouraged to dress for the occasion

At our last club meeting 6-7 members advised that they would be attending – We will need to confirm numbers at the March meeting or you can email me on

If you could let me know either way if any of your members will be attending as I need to get back on expected number of vehicles.

Encounter Bay Trip,

Hello  fellow members,

Please find information re the upcoming event This event is going to be run in conjunction with the Club Automobile Francais.

 Dear members

The above event is on again Sunday 8th April and Graeme Philp, organizing committee member (see email below), has invited French Car Clubs to bring our French Cars to help with the celebrations at Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor 8/4/18.
At our last club meeting it was agreed to be involved once again and 6-7 members will be bringing their cars.

Not to be outnumbered by the British side we would ask a combined involvement from the French side once again. Can you advise if your club would once again be involved and if so the number of vehicles that would be attending.

As per last time this event was held in 2016 we are planning to gather at Mt Compass opposite the Petrol Station, time to be confirmed but probably around 8.00am sharp and then drive in convoy to Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor via one of the organising members of the Encounter Celebrations.
> Look forward to hearing from your soonest.
